Tom Jarvis, started hairdressing at the tender age of 15 years at Toni & Guy and fell in love immediately with the hairdressing industry.

Tom Jarvis started hairdressing at 15, looking to pursue a career in which he could be creative. He immediately fell in love with the industry beginning with Toni and Guy. By his 3rd year Tom was  working as head colourist for a boutique salon in South Perth and refined his training in cutting.  Tom completed his apprenticeship, securing a spot as a senior stylist at Head Office Hair & Body, he developed a steady following. After leaving Perth for a short stint in Melbourne, Tom made his way back to Perth and found Chilli Couture where he has now been for the past 7 years.

During his Career, Tom has worked on various runway shows including Myer and David Jones as well as volunteering for Style Aid, which is a real passion of his.

“I love the fast-paced nature of working backstage on a runway show and creating fast, simple hairstyles that are fashion forward is some of my favourite hair to create”

As well as session styling, Tom also has a number of photographic collections under his belt which he entered into the Australian Hair and Fashion Awards and Hair Expo Awards.

“I love seeing my ideas come to life as I prepare and execute photographic collections. In 7 years working for Chilli Couture I have managed to capture over 50 professional images of my work for myself, various magazines and fashion blogs. I am very proud of my work and look forward to creating more amazing hair in the future”

Tom has a very loyal following of people that love the amazing hair he creates, and he enjoys building relationships with his clients which reflects on his fun and bubbly personality.

I will never go elsewhere, my kids have their hair cut by Tom and are the coolest kiddos on the playground, Donna will always find me a spot with Tom even when he’s booked out for months (which is usually the case). Toms favourite things to do in the salon include creating effortless easy ways to manage hair that get better as the style grows out, creating the perfect fringe and finishing off his work with a high end blow-dry or up-style.
