Rachel Walker has 28 years as Perth’s top award winning colourist and stylist, and is the owner of Chilli Couture Pure Hair Indulgence. She has a passion for her clients, her industry and her salon, her commitment to its growth and success is stronger than ever.
Rachel has been a finalist for the Australian Hair Fashion Awards West Australian Hairdresser of the Year multiple times, is an International Gold Level competition Judge, an International Platform Educator, currently doing Guest Artist Presentations and workshops for Original and Mineral here in WA, and spent 12 years as the West Australian Sebastian Design Artist; a coveted position which saw her traveling throughout Australia and the Asia/Pacific Region teaching to both her peers in the education industry as well as presenting cutting and styling collections to the hairdressing industry. As an international stylist, Rachel’s work is esteemed and has been published not only in Australia, but in Brazil, Russia, India, Italy, Singapore and Malaysia. Her work has been seen in trade magazines and fashion magazines Vogue and Harpers Bazaar. Her online media has been published globally.
Rachel’s salon work is of an impeccable standard boasting an extensive and loyal clientele. She also produces photographic, catwalk and session styling for the Perth fashion scene regularly throughout the year as well as being the Artistic Director for all salon creative work. Rachel is a talented hair fashion photographer and works with all Chilli Couture staff to produce their creative and competition work throughout the year and is dedicated to ensuring her staff are not only highly trained but continually inspired to be the best hairdressers they can be. She develops and implements training programs for both apprentices and senior stylists within the salon and also runs a team development program within the salon. Rachel also holds her Diploma of Life Coaching and Business Coaching, specialising in ‘Coaching Through Change’ and ‘Coaching for Leaders & Business Owners’. Her coaching experience gives Rachel an ability to communicate effectively to all clients.
Rachel also spend her spare time working with Charity Rescue Group Greyhound Angels WA, helping in rescuing, fostering and rehoming Greyhounds, a passion that is very close to her heart and her own two fur-babies; Lilly and Dottie, both rescued Greyhounds.
